New developer package for CakeMail

—————-

We’re very happy to announce a new CakeMail package designed to grow our developer community while showing a little love to tech startups and small dev shops who need a sophisticated email delivery system that they can integrate into their software.

In fact, we might as well say happy holidays while we’re at it, because the package is available for a one-time fee of $99 and the total annual value to developers is worth between $3,300 and $12,660! Here are the details:

CakeMail Developer Package

  • A special do-it-yourself offer at only $99 (1-time fee) for access to the CakeMail API.
  • Includes up to 5,000 emails sent per month at no cost for those who are active in our developer community.
  • The program is entirely self-serve, so support is offered exclusively through our developer forum.

What sort of contribution are we looking for in return?

Why so inexpensive? What’s the catch?

  • None! There’s no charge if you send less than 5,000 emails per month for as long as you’re active in the CakeMail developer community.
  • CakeMail is a developer-driven email marketing platform, and we aim to get as many developers as possible on board within a short time period.
  • We wanted to offer a package that would let developers around the world, whatever their means, experiment with CakeMail.

What’s the value to developers?

  • The market price for 5,000 emails is between $25 and $55 monthly.
  • Access to a full API for email marketing typically goes for anywhere from $250 to $1,000 per month.
  • So the total annual value of our offer to developers is worth between $3,300 and $12,660!
  • Community: Developers will have access to an ever-growing pool of their peers who can provide feedback and tips to aid them in integrating CakeMail or building on top of it.
  • Web development gigs: We’re getting requests for custom work from marketing agencies who plan to integrate CakeMail into their back-end systems. Since custom development is not our core service offer, we’d like to be able to refer them to active members of our developer community who have proven expertise in integrating CakeMail with 3rd-party systems.
